Manoj Kumar Jain

Mr. Manoj Kumar Jain is a dedicated and diligent representative of the Jain community, a committed and zealous social and political activist, and currently serves as a nominated councilor in the Delhi Municipal Corporation (MCD) and is a well-known leader of the Delhi BJP. Along with being a leader, you are also recognized as a prominent social worker. Additionally, you hold the position of Co-Founder and National President of Sahayog Delhi. Furthermore, you shoulder the responsibility of being the Chairman of the Tarun Mitra Parishad.

You have been greatly influenced by Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi and are contributing significantly to the nation’s progress, the welfare of the underprivileged, and the dream of building a better nation, following the path of selfless public service demonstrated by him.

Born on February 23, 1969, in Delhi, Mr. Manoj Jain, in his youth, would ride rickshaws to campaign loudly for his favorite leaders, leaving his school classes behind. Even today, you can see the spark of victory in his eyes when talking about campaigning and putting up posters. A significant reason behind his strong political affiliation lies in the fact that his father, Mr. Mahesh Jain, was associated with the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) from a young age. Walking in his father’s footsteps, Manoj Jain gradually awakened to nationalist thinking.

As he progressed in his education, he also made strides in politics and in the 2003 Delhi Legislative Assembly elections, he contested as the youngest BJP candidate from the Minto Road constituency. Although he did not emerge victorious, the lessons of social responsibility instilled in him by his father diverted Manoj Jain’s path towards a different direction. For several years, due to not holding any official position within the party, he found a clearer path for his social work. His political ambitions took a backseat, and he embarked on a separate journey to fulfill his social responsibilities.

Continuing on the mission of humanitarian service and assistance, you established the NGO “Sahayog Delhi” in 2013. Over the past seven years, your organization has made a noble contribution by providing food to thousands of hungry people and helping those in need. Before founding your NGO, you also served as the President of Tarun Mitra Parishad. Your father had been the President of this organization, established in 1975, and Manoj Jain had the opportunity to work as a member there. Having served as the President of this organization three times in the past, Manoj Jain currently oversees its work as its Vice President.

The objective of Tarun Mitra Parishad is to provide the basic amenities of life to the marginalized and oppressed sections of society. Mr. Manoj Jain is also the Chief Coordinator of Shradha Sadan, located in Hāstināpur, Uttar Pradesh. Initially built with 60 rooms equipped with modern facilities, this center was intended for the elderly. However, due to a lack of approval, it is now being utilized as a center for youth training, yoga, and meditation.

When your father started the wallpaper business in 1975 with a dealership, little did he know that his son would transform it into a modern and leading company throughout the country. In 1988, the first plant was set up in Shahdara, and in 1994, it was shifted to the Patparganj Industrial Area. You achieved remarkable success by taking your company, ULTRAWALLS, to foreign shores and establishing your brand as a distinct identity in the eyes of foreigners.

Reflecting on the nearly seven-year journey of Sahayog, Mr. Manoj Kumar Jain feels a sense of pride that the organization is diligently pursuing the very purpose it was founded for. The Modi Tea Stall set up on Ashok Road during Mr. Modi’s historic first victory, where nearly 30,000 people enjoyed tea, was a result of Mr. Manoj Jain’s efforts.

Whether it’s a natural disaster or a pandemic, he had begun reaching out to those in need at a very young age. His significant contribution during the 2000 earthquake in Gujarat, where he served the affected people, is highly commendable. Along with contributing to various relief efforts, he also made significant and notable efforts in rebuilding homes for people. Mr. Jain holds positions in various social and Jain organizations, and his service-oriented approach is well-known among these organizations. Therefore, when Manoj Jain called upon the members of the organization, they took up the task of renovating the homes of earthquake victims.

When he recalls the mention of the Gujarat earthquake, Mr. Manoj Jain mentions how he, along with friends, went to Gujarat and undertook several activities. He purchased land in Ekta Nagar, Rapar, and laid the foundation for a single-story house measuring 26 square yards for the earthquake-affected people on January 26th. The entire funding for this project was received from Delhi, and four organizations extended their support to him.

Mr. Manoj Kumar Jain contributed significantly to the Jain community’s census activities in 2001 and 2011, and for this, he was felicitated by various Jain organizations. He maintains continuous contact with Jains residing in India and abroad, and in the past two decades, he has organized numerous Jain community religious events and gatherings, encouraging people to come together and contribute to the progress of the nation.

Mr. Jain is the founding president of Sahayog Delhi, a social work organization. The organization regularly conducts medical camps across the country. It operates with a dedicated commitment to serving the disabled and provides free distribution of tricycles to make the lives of the differently-abled a little easier.

Children are the future of India, and the good care of India’s future should start from pregnancy itself. Keeping this fundamental principle in mind, under the leadership of Mr. Manoj Jain, the Sahayog organization works in collaboration with various hospitals to raise awareness about the importance of prenatal check-ups, proper care during pregnancy, and the significance of post-birth precautions and vaccinations for the child.

Mr. Manoj Kumar Jain, in association with various organizations and hospitals, also conducts hepatitis B vaccination programs. These programs provide vaccines at very affordable rates, and those who cannot afford even nominal charges receive vaccinations completely free of cost.

In the winter season, arrangements for shelter during the rain and setting up water distribution points in the summer are not just acts of social service for Mr. Manoj Jain but a duty to humanity that he fulfills with a sense of responsibility as a human being.

When the COVID-19 pandemic forced people into isolation and vulnerability, Mr. Manoj Jain and his Sahayog organization wasted no time in distributing rations, meals, and relief materials. He never sought credit for this work, neither in social media posts nor in TV or newspaper reports. The distribution of food to around 400 initially affected individuals by his organization soon expanded to feed approximately 1200 people. This noble work was made possible with significant support from the people of Bikaner to “Sahayog Delhi,” helping them realize their dream.

When the Ministry of Ayush recognized Arsenic Album 30 as an aid in the fight against COVID-19, more than 6500 doses were distributed by the Sahayog Delhi organization. Later, at the request of Delhi Central DCP, 2000 vials were sent to their office, which were then distributed among the police personnel of the Central District.

Manoj Ji, who continuously strives for the needs of every segment of society, has played a significant role in clearing the Yamuna riverbank from Rajghat to Vijay Ghat. Inspired by the support received from elders in the family for his social work, he has been actively involved in various small and large-scale initiatives. The historic event of the Rāhgīr March also narrates the story of his social concerns, in which approximately 25,000 people participated.

From protests against sealing issues to organizing weddings for young couples, facilitating scholarships for students, and hosting sports competitions, Manoj Ji has always been passionately engaged in a wide range of activities. When the road leading to the Metro station near Delhi Gate was diverted towards Ambedkar Stadium, he raised his voice on this matter as well. As a result, provisions were made to open an alternate entrance to the Metro station in the new phase.

Manoj Ji made several attempts to arrange urinals for women in local markets and tried to make this initiative successful. However, due to the lack of proper understanding by relevant authorities, offices, and organizations, his efforts did not yield better results. Despite the challenges involved in continuous and large-scale social work, these endeavors can be seen as a challenge, but Manoj Ji remains enthusiastic because such activities provide him with the energy to stay youthful.

Mr. Manoj Jain and his family have a strong association with the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), the National Volunteer Organization. They have been actively involved in various branches since childhood, contributing wholeheartedly to every task. Recognizing their dedication to the RSS ideology, the party nominated Mr. Manoj Jain as a candidate from the Daryaganj constituency in the Delhi Legislative Assembly.

Incorporating the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan (Clean India Campaign) into his personal goals following Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s call, Mr. Manoj Jain has actively promoted cleanliness through the social initiative “Sahayog Modi.” They have reached the Prime Minister’s message of cleanliness to the public and have run awareness campaigns.

Understanding the far-reaching vision of Prime Minister Modi’s “Chai par Charcha” (Discussion Over Tea) initiative, Mr. Manoj Jain organized large-scale tea gatherings during parliamentary and assembly elections. This allowed them to engage with people, share the Prime Minister’s vision, and actively support nation-building. On election result days, a massive tea stall was set up at the party headquarters on Ashoka Road, where Party and organizational leaders, including Shri Ram Lal Ji, wrote congratulatory messages to Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. This wall of messages was displayed for two days and garnered significant media attention, both nationally and internationally.

Under the Sahayogi Modi program, they also run extensive campaigns on social media, making people aware of the government’s welfare policies and how they can benefit from them.

Seeing the rise of the Jain community and their social and political harmony, Shri Manoj Kumar Jain is indeed a true representative of the Jain community, from whom not only his community but all others can draw inspiration. Society needs dedicated individuals like him.

In 2023, the Lieutenant Governor of Delhi appointed Mr. Manoj Kumar Jain as a nominated Municipal Councillor in the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD).

Speaking about his dreams for the future, he says that if the coming generations recognize him as a social servant and worker, he would consider it a significant success. Committed to society, this servant will have many more opportunities, and he is determined not to make any mistakes in accomplishing those tasks.
